2025 Winners and Finalists Announced
Write Out Loud is proud to announce the winners of the 2025 Write Out Loud contest “The Risk” by Freddy Hall, “I Will Go” by Amanda D’Archangelis and Sami Horneff, and “Perfect Crush” by Ethan Farmer. The winning works will also be featured in concert at 54 Below hosted by Taylor Louderman this September, alongside the FINALISTS of the 2025 Write Out Loud Contest “Round and Round” by Abbie Goldberg and Mason McDowell, “I’ve Heard the Stories” by ASH, “Envy” by Asher Shectman and Benji Hafetz-Price, “In Reality” by Annabelle Dinda, “The Right Direction” by Caroline Game and Michael Oosterhout, “Red Lights” by Gideon Temple and Hank Temple, “Talk to Her” by Jack Richman, “Where I Belong” by Julia Gytri and Avi Amon, “Hopeless x Worth It” by Myles Carter, “Duck Suit” by Ryan Jacobs.

This year’s album features Betsy Wolfe (Tony Nominee, & Juliet), performing “Fade Away” by Will Shishmanian and Brooke Trumm. Ana Villafañe (On Your Feet, N/A), performing “Self-Portrait” by José Alba Rodríguez and Yejune Kim. Taylor Louderman (Tony Nominee, Mean Girls), performing “California” by Ally Cribb. And Shakina Nayfack (Transparent, Chonburi International Hotel), performing “Necromancy” by Wren Mied.
The Write Out Loud Project to Receive $10,000 Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts
The Write Out Loud Project is pleased to announce it has been approved by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) for a Grants for Arts Projects award of $10,000. In total, the NEA will award 1,135 Grants for Arts Projects awards totaling more than $37 million as part of its second round of fiscal year 2024 grants. Click here to read more about the grant.
